Boondi Raita

Boondi Raita is a perfect side dish for any meal. Boondi Raita not only makes the food interesting, but also good for digestion. Boondi Raita is one of the easiest and quickest recipe. There are different types of Raitas, and Boondi Raita is one of them. Raitas are always handy, goes well with any rice dish like biryani/pulao and paratha too.

Boondi Raita

Ingredients:

• 1½ cup Dahi/Yogurt/Curd
• ¾ cup Khari Boondi/Fried Chickpeas Flour Ball
• ¼ tsp Red Chili Powder
• ½ tsp Cumin Powder
• ¼ tsp Chaat Masala
• ¼ tsp Black Pepper Powder
• Salt
• ¼ cup Chopped (Coriander-Mint) Leaves

Method:

1. Take a warm water in one bowl, add boondi in that, cover it and keep aside.


2. In another bowl whisk/beat the Dahi and make smooth paste, without lumps; add little water if your Dahi is thick.

3. Add red chili powder, cumin seeds powder, black pepper powder, salt, chaat masala, chopped leaves and mix well.

4. Now drain the boondi, squeeze lightly, and then add into the prepared Dahi mixture.

5. Raita is ready to serve as a side dish with biryani, rice, paratha or pulao.
