Kumquat Marmalade
 
 
Kumquat Marmalade is a quick recipe made up of marmalade using kumquats. Kumquat Marmalade is a tasty and simple to make. Kumquat Marmalade is bit tangy in taste with a bright color, to make this delicious tangy Kumquat marmalade preserve with tart kumquat fruits. I didn't even know what a kumquat was until I moved here in the USA and I discovered them in one of the local farmers market. Now I love using them for marmalade.

Ingredients
  • 2 Cups Kumquats
  • 1 Lemon Juice
  • 1 ½ Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
Instructions
  1. Wash and halve the kumquats and remove the seeds from the fruit, then chop it finely.
  2. Place the chopped kumquats, sugar, and cinnamon stick in ceramic mixing bowl, mix it, cover it and keep aside for 2-3hrs.
  3. Take a sauce pan add kumquats sugar mixture into, then add water and bring to a boil over high heat.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the liquid has reduced and thickened, it will thicken more as it cools.
  5. Remove the cinnamon stick, then place in an airtight container and store in a refrigerator. Use within two weeks.
Notes
• You can add more sugar if you like sweetest taste.
• If you like spiced taste then you can add other spices like cardamom, star anise, clove etc….
